Alliance Networks as an Aid to Developing New Product: A Theoretic Framework
With the rapid globalization, new product development increasingly becomes much more important for the success of enterprises. In the process of the new product development, an enterprises external alliance networks play a vital role for acquiring, using and creating knowledge. Therefore, from the perspective of enterprises external alliance networks, this paper explores how the centrality and the density of alliance networks, the heterogeneity among participants, and the absorptive capacity of enterprises affect the performances of new product The results of the paper will provide enterprises with very useful advices for developing new products.
