Impacting Mechanism between IT Staffs Work-family Conflict and Job Performance
This research tested a model that examines the influence of work-family conflict on job performance. The survey data were provided by 184 information technology employees from more than 40 companies. Random coefficient modeling was used to test a path model examining the relationships between work-family conflict, perceived organizational support (POS), self efficacy, and job performance. The direct effects of work-family conflict, POS and self-efficacy on job performance were significant The indirect effect of work-family conflict on job performance was also significant Results demonstrate the value of POS and self-efficacy in understanding work-family conflict and job performance, and highlight the need for the managers to give employees more support and the employees should improve their self-efficacy from many aspects.
