Analysis of Technologys Contribution to a Citys Competitiveness
Science and technology competitiveness? is an important component of a city s competitiveness system. On the basis of previous studies, the author established an evaluation model which can specifically measure the contribution of technology to a citys competitiveness. Based on actual data collected from eight cities of similar urban size and economic strength in the Yangtze River Delta, we studied the contribution of technology to a citys competitiveness. We analyzed science and technology indicators contributing to the competitiveness of the City of Hangzhou specifically, and formulated science and technology development strategies to enhance the competitiveness of Hangzhou.
