Over-speed Test of Circular Saw Blade

Tests were carried out using over-speeding test machine. The speed along the edge line of circular saw blade has reached supersonic (20 ℃, 342m/s). Under the condition of rotating speed of 7520rpm and residence time of 1 min, circular saw blade was working smoothly.After stopping the operation, significant vibration traces beside the silencer slot was viewed though saw blade was intact.Under the condition of rotating speed of 25080rpm, circular saw blade had a stable speedup from the start. After running, the crack between silencer and unloading slots became larger with a clear plastic deformation, and a clear vibration traces were found on the both sides of silencer slot.From results above,it could be concluded that over-speed test was a reliable way to ensure the safety of product strength.
