The paper exemplifies construction of meanings through involving heteroglossic and intertextual voices, from a Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) perspective, through investigating McDonalds 2006 CSR report by using the framework for ideology analysis, Discourse Formations (DFs) (Mc Andrew, 2001, 2004) and the frameworks of Appraisal and Transitivity (Halliday & Matthiessen, 2004; White, 2006).
