Morphology effects on effective properties of multiphase materials

In this contribution, we present our recent progress on morphology effects on effective properties, using large scale numerical simulations, of multiphase materials with random phase distributions as real materials are. We consider different morphologies: granular, fibrous and network structures, which are also compared with some regular artificial structures. The physical properties may include, but not limit to, thermal conductivity, electrical conductivity, dielectric permittivity and elastic modulus. The materials considered compose of at least two phases/components. For multiphase materials which involve three or more phases/components, the phase interaction effects are investigated on the effective properties of the material properties.
