Block Kalman Filtering For Power System

According to the characteristics possessed by power system on annual cycle, a monthly cycle and a day cycle, the filter design with block measurements is considered in this paper. Firstly, the dynamic system model is established by use of a blocking operation to measurement equation. Secondly, the block Kalman filter is proposed under the given initial conditions. Synchronously, the corresponding real-time filter is also given. The running steps of the filtering algorithms are presented in detail. A simple computer simulation example is demonstrated to validate the effectiveness and advantage of the proposed block Kalman filter.
