Study on Wind Energy Integration in Heilongjiang Based on Balmorel Model
The Chinese government has enhanced the emphasis on renewable resources development and utilization, and will focus on developing renewable energy as a means to drive environmental protection, improve energy security and keep social and economic development sustainable. Heilongjiang Province has rich wind resources and favorable terrain patterns, which gives this area great advantage in constructing large scale wind farms. In order to keep the development of wind power generation sound and sustained, a project regarding the modeling of the system integration of wind power- Balmorel was launched. This paper describes the cases carried out and the results of the model runs.
