Serum Mass Spectrometry Cancer diagnosis Using Averageand SVM Approaches Based on Box-counting Dimensions

Mass spectrometry data have been widely used in early-stage cancer detection recent years. This essay focuses on the classification and prediction of early-stage gastric cancer patients using a linear methodology-average and a non-linear methodologySVM based on box-counting dimensions. The result differs greatly as average suffers a low accuracy while SVM has a rather high accuracy in classification and prediction.
