Prediction and Identification of B-Cell Epitopes on Goose Parvovirus Non-structural Protein

The non-structure (NS) gene of goose parvovirus (GPV) was translated into amino sequence by Editseq. The secondary structure and B-cell epitopes of the deduced protein were predicted by Protean. Combining the results according to these methods, the nonstructural protein (NSP) has complicated secondary structure. There are several potential B-cells epitopes on NSP. By means of overlapping peptides expressed in Escherichia coli in combination with Western blotting, B-cell epitopes were identified on NSP. The results show virtual linear immunodominant epitopes, which were found in C-terminal (amino acid residues 453-627).
