Coordinated Nanobiosensor for Detection of Prostate Cancer Biomarker
As part of an effort to develop coordinated biosensors, coiled coil peptides were designed, characterized and applied to fabricate coordinated biosensors for detection of prostate cancer biomarker (PCa) - prostate specific antigen (PSA). The coordinated nanobiosensor presented in this study is advantageous as the sensitivity of PSA detection is among the lowest reported, at 10.0 pg mL-1 and permits reuse of biosensors, as the biological components are robust with extended half-lives of activities.
