An improved Routes Maintaining Mechanism Using Location Information in Ad hoc Network
In an ad hoc network, the unpredictable topological changes may occur at any moment owing to the mobile character of the nodes. A break in a route requires a new route discovery while the flooding based route discovery produces so much request packets that decrease the total capacity of the network. But always, to establish a new route only requires a limited flooding area. So broken location aided routes maintaining (BLA-RM), proposed a method using the location information of the broken node to compute the limited flooding area. Moreover, we introduce some new means to enhance the robust of our computed flooding area in a formula, such as the twisted extent of the route, the noDrop_area and the semiDrop_area. Simulation results show the outstanding performance of our approach in reducing the overhead of routing related packets in the whole network.
