Research on LOD Technology in Virtual Reality
Through the research on the existing virtual reality and LOD technology, for the realization difficulties of LOD technology, this paper presents an optimized algorithm for real-time building terrain multiresolution model based on terrain quadtree, this algorithm uses hierarchical block thinking, through which only one traverse of the quadtree the grid will be generated, thus the system overhead grid caused can be reduced and the rendering speed will be greatly improved.
