Assessing Harmonic Emission Level Based on Orthogonal Signal Correction and Partial Least-Squares Regression

A new method is presented in this paper to assess harmonic impedance and harmonic emission level. The proposed approach can remove the useless orthogonal information between variable X and dependent variable Y effectively, which makes it possible to improve the explanatory ability of models component under the condition of limited components and to strengthen correlation between X and Y. According to the data of harmonic voltage and harmonic current measured synchronously at the point of common coupling (PCC), regression coefficients can be obtained through the presented method. Consequently, the utility harmonic impedance and harmonic emission level are known. Compare with some other methods, the results of examples show that the proposed approach is better than others.

harmonic impedance harmonic emission level orthogonal signal correction (OSC) partial least- squares regression (PLS).
