Study on Interpolation used in Estimation of Time Delay in Power Amplifier

A detail which have been omitted when modeling nonlinear power amplifiers (PAs) is the time delay that exists between the input and output baseband data waveforms of the PA. The time delay should be estimated and compensated because any time delay could induce an extra dispersion of AM/AM and AM/PM characteristics of the PAs. The interpolation has been utilized for the estimation of time delay of PAs11. Four kind of interpolation algorithm are used for the estimation in this paper. The simulation results show that the sine interpolation algorithm is more appropriate than the others for the estimation of time delay of PAs.
