New Thermal Units Scheduling Strategies Design Consider Fuel Conservation and Environment Protection

Considering problems in practical thermal units scheduling, such as ideal scheduling plan with high computation burden but low ability to be executed in real time, or easy scheduling rules but none economic targets satisfied, as well as newly requested environment protection conditions, three new scheduling strategies are proposed in this paper, which intend to give solutions on those issues, and make a balance between theoretic ideal solutions and real utilization. In the final part of this paper, simulations on a grid with 10 thermal units show differences between three proposed methods, and conclusions are made on which strategies should be taken under certain circumstances.
