Building Quantity Surveying with Three-dimensional Modeling Using GCL Software
Nowadays the rapid advances in computer modeling and multimedia technologies make new methods for building quantity surveying with three-dimensional modeling feasible. GCL is a kind of quantity surveying software for Glodon Company. It introduced software features, software operation process and operator Interface. Three-dimensional modeling principle is discussed. Using GCL software, a three-dimensional modeling buildings were first built in this paper to perform quantity surveying analysis. The Evaluation of advantages and disadvantages of technology threedimensional modeling using GCL Software is brought forward. Finally, it compares software calculation results with the actual quantity take-off for building.
