Management Incentive System in Business Groups
Using a sample of listed subsidiaries and their parent companies, I study top executive incentive system in Chinese business groups. The empirical results support my prediction that the payperformance sensitivity of managerial compensation (CEO turnover) in a member firm is positively (negatively) related to the accounting performance of its parent company.
