A Metric-based Approach Applied in Uncertainty Management for Enterprise Project
In this article we addressed a new service-oriented solution, coping with managing large-scaled enterprise project uncertainty, which is based on metric measurement. More specifically, this work try to presents an analytical methodology of enterprise project uncertainty management, towards a more quantitative-oriented tactic. By assuming that every large-scaled enterprise project theoretically be consisted of logical-independently successive business components, it is safe to made effort to grade uncertainty in every single procedure by a unified quantification standard in further. Differentiated from other related solutions, our approach initiated to supervise enterprise project uncertainty in realtime with two orthogonal dimensions-the ratio of single task risk on time schedule as well as its quality level. This dualistic measurement facilitated project managers to take a panoramic view of the systematic risk by sets of computable data. Expansibility and reusability were also carefully considered by maintaining extensible performance forms for each component unit.
