TOWARDS A KNOWLEDGE-DRIVEN NIGERIAN ECONOMY FOR SUSTAINABLE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

摘要：

This paper examined issues related to the need for a knowledge-driven Nigerian economy in order for it to be at par with the rest of the world and be able to compete in the fast changing globalised economy. In achieving this objective, the paper looked at what drives knowledge in advanced nations, why Nigeria needs to adopt a knowledge-based approach to economic development and suggested strategies for developing a knowledge-driven economy.
