NUMERICAL ANALYSIS OF SIF OF SEMI-ELLIPTICAL SURFACE CRACK ON STEEL PLATE STRENGTHENED WITH CFL
Semi-elliptical surface crack-like defects always exist in pressure pipes. Using Fiber Reinforce Polymer (FRP) to strengthen pipe defects is a leading project in this area. This paper focused on finite element calculating method of stress intensity factor (SIF) of three-dimensional surface crack on large diameter pipes using large commercial software ANSYS. Steel plate model with three-dimensional semielliptical surface crack was built. of which calculating example was compared with calculating result of Newman-Raju formula. Calculation model and method were proved to be effective. On this basis,stress intensity factor of three-dimensional surface crack on steel plate strengthened with carbon fiber laminates (CFL) was numerically analyzed.
