Taming with Civilization, Achieving with Society-Olympic Spirits Promotes the Development of Chinese Society
The article sets out separately from three aspects of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games to express the far-reaching significance for China and the world. First is the unlimited communication between China and the world. Second is the contributions and efforts made by China in the preparation for the Beijing Olympics. And the last is for what reasons, China, as the host country of 29~th Olympic Games, attaches so much importance to the Beijing Olympic Games as well as her spiritual acquisitions from the Games.Olympic is a large topic for research, involving economics, society, foreign affairs, sports, culture and so on. The article focuses on the Olympic spirit theory combined with its significance on human and cultural communication from a macroscopic perspective. The analysis is based on Chinas social reality, which shows the necessity and importance of international communication. The second part highlights the contributions devoted by Chinese people in the 7 years of preparation for Beijing Olympics. To provide a better environment for communication, Chinese people, especially Beijingers made great efforts to display the features of a modem Beijing. A series of great changes has taken place during the process of Olympic preparations. With the aim of illustrating Beijings gratifying improvements, this article has selected 3 aspects during the preparation work for the Olympic Games: sky, city and people, to which most attention were paid by the international media. By using comparative data, charts and tables, the performance of Chinese people can be evaluated directly. The third part tells how Chinese people value the opportunity to host the Olympic Games and explains why China takes the Beijing Olympic Games as a whole nation grand ceremony. Due to our attitude to the Olympic Games, China acquires a harvest of spiritual wealth.
