Causes and Solutions in Slow Development of PE on Chinas Primary and Secondary Schools
The present situation of adolescent physical education is not optimistic in China. There was a downtrend in students physical condition year by year. In our study, literature review and analytical methods are adopted to demonstrate why the adolescent physical education has been squeezed and deserted in school. Conclusion: The insufficient investment is a major cause of the less development of school physical education in China. Secondary, due to physical education is not the subject of national college entrance examination, the value of physical education is underappreciated. Furthermore, we conclude that ultimate cause of current situation is the utilitarian guide of market economy. Perspective: The health development of school physical education is subjected to the social identification, which depends on the government guidance. Thus, we believe that included PE as one subject of national college entrance examination should be the most effective means to improve school physical education in China.
