The Current State and Strategy of Developing Online Information Resources for College Physical Education
This article reports a study of 100 college websites for physical education using the methods of online investigation, literature review, and statistical analysis. The results show a lack of understanding about the importance of developing college PE websites, lagging in content refreshing, shortage of skilled personnel for maintaining the website, inadequate functionality. The websites are typically unattractive and incapable of providing timely feedback as well as of helping students with self study. In view of the identified problems, we urge web teams to deepen understanding, change attitudes, enrich website content, and assign higher priority to the task of website construction for physical education. To achieve these objectives, its necessary to start with training of information management experts.
