Discussion on Extension and Sustainable Development of College Sports Venues
Although the 1936 Olympic Games were shamed on the Olympic movement history as operated by the Nazi, its ritual, art and architecture achievements could not be ignored. The main Stadium, Berlin Olympic stadium is a great model on Olympic or even sports architecture history as its fully utilization, whether in Olympic Games or after that. In this paper, the Olympic Stadium in Berlin was put into a case study as combing their location, construction, reconstruction and extension of the historical context and the architectural style, on the base of which discussed its socio-cultural effects, and emphasis on the last two decades and in particular its high level of retain its historic look at the modernization and upgrade its functions. Later, the article summed up the reasons for its success, and concluded that: (l)the design focused on regional planning; (2)renewal paid much attention to Software instead of hardware; (3)at the same time, its use has formed a pattern of sports event for majority and supplemented by other cultural activities; (4) management is dominated by the market and supplemented by government involvement in the way of establish a model of mutual cooperation between the government, which could fully mobilize the enthusiasm of the market, but also closely contact the Government, citizens and the relationship with sports stadiums, and strengthen the mutual recognition, and promote its sustainable development. This article hopes to be a mirror of large-scale stadiums for domestic management, development and effective use, especially for high schools stadiums.
