Specialization Development for P.E Teachers in Colleges: Connotation, Value and Ways

Specialization development for P.E teachers is the time request and the tendency. At first, this article analyzes specialization development of university P.E teacher connotation and the necessity. On the basis of review about the college P.E teacher training and continuing education development situation, we explore the specialization development of values and approaches by aid of higher education and universities management theory. The conclusion believes that the concept must transforms from training, namely by the external government or organizations and agencies execution stipulation training, to the teacher develops (faculty development), which respects the teacher independency. Government and education sector should standardize management and design supporting measures to effectively motivate teachers to actively participate in continuing education; at the same time, they should develop high quality education training and provides multi-channel independent learning and continuing education, diversification of the forms and projects for physical education teachers, and gradually build a lifelong learning system, and constantly improve the level of their specialization development.
