Collision Management and Admission Control oriented Service Differentiation for Ad Hoc Networks

Ad Hoc mobile Network (AHNs) may include a plurality of mobile nodes each including a wireless communications device with limited communication resources. Achieving QoS (Quality of Service) in AHNs has been an important research topic in the last years. Consequently, we are interested in this paper by the proposition of an admission control mechanism QoS oriented in AHNs based on traffic classification. One of the major contributions of this paper concerns the proposition of a novel contention resolution mechanism allowing an admission control oriented service differentiation mechanism called DS_CAP for Differentiation Service Control Admission Protocol. We also give simulation results showing the advantages of our mechanism.
