Discussion of Smart Grid Solution Basing Cloud Computing
Increasing complexity of power grids, requirement for greater grid reliability, security and efficiency as well as environmental and energy pressure continue to highlight the need for a quantum leap in introducing communication and information technologies. This leap toward a smarter grid is now widely referred to as smart grid. Many smart grid solutions have been proposed and discussed. This paper discusses the shortcomings and deficiencies of the current mainstream smart grid (SG) solutions, and proposes ideas for improvement which based cloud computing system (CCS). In the SG solutions, the development of future intelligent power, intelligent appliances and smart house should be taken into account Government should play a leading role in the research of SG in its initial stage.
