Context-aware and Service-oriented Information Retrieval in Internet of Things
Internet of Things (IOT) will be the new revolution of the next generation Internet. The features of IOT are different from Internet Billions or trillions of things are connected together, things communicate with each other, and things are intelligent in IOT. IOT brings many new challenges to the data management and information retrieval technology. In this paper, the characteristics and challenges of data management for IOT are discussed at first, then a framework of Context-aware And Service-oriented Information Retrieval in IOT (CASIR1) is proposed. The main ideas of CASIRI are as follows. (1) The context-aware and service-oriented architecture plays important roles in IOT search. (2) Contextual information and context-relevant services are combined together. (3) Domain ontologies are employed to represent IOT knowledge. (4) Information is organized as the object-oriented viewpoints. At the end, two scenarios are taken as examples to illustrate CASIRI.
