Implementation of Generation-Catalog Management System

摘要：

For the application of frequent backup, copy and rename files usually need be done manually, and it should changed to be a daunting task according to the increase of the backup files number, the history of backup files is hard to be managed well. At the same time, manually operation is easy to make mistake, result in the beyond retrieved data miss. In this paper, we present a what is called Generation-Catalog Management System(GCMS), which can satisfy the automatic backup application or using for the failure recovery process. Manual operation could be avoid, and the history of backup files could be managed effectively. And for the implementation of the system, the usability and performance is also be considered.
