Distributed Host-based Intrusion Detection for HPC Cluster

摘要：

The cluster for high performance computing (HPC Cluster) is becoming more and more popular in recent years, but traditional researches on HPC Cluster focus on the performance, and the security problems are ignored in a way. The intrusion detection system is used to detect the suspicious behaviors in both network and the host environment. This paper proposes a distributed host-based intrusion detection system to detect the intrusion behaviors toward the inside nodes of the HPC cluster. It relies on the system integrity checking, security log analysis and rootkit detection methods to protect the HPC cluster. This paper also takes into consideration on the evaluation of the system implementation and the future works.
