Design and Simulation of Avionic System for a Stratospheric Hybrid Tethered Platform
As previously reported 1, stratospheric hybrid tethered platform (SHTP) is a new conceptual design of the tethered balloon, possessing the capability of maintaining in certain operational area. The overall design including hardware and software for the avionic system of a SHTP is presented in this paper. First, the hardware architecture is depicted. And then, the application software, based on VxWorks real-time operating system with tornado integrated development environment, is developed. In order to validate the design feasibility, ground simulation station is implemented, which performed in the hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulation system. The design of avionic system is verified to be realizable through the HIL simulation system.
