Research and Realization on H Model Disaster-Tolerant High Availability Cluster Based-On NAS
Outstanding capabilities of NAS system have made the NAS technology became an important research font of network storage technology. Unlucky, traditional NAS solution occurs some fatal disadvantages such as high data backup bandwidth and single point of failure. These disadvantages are fatal to those high available system such as Web server with 24 x 7 availability and common multimedia teaching machine system. So anti-crash file system has been applied in some NAS system, and anti-crash file system will be the basic configuration in new NAS products. But anti-crash file system as a new technology is still developing now. And on the other hand, because data rate is between 10GB/hr to 40GB/hr, magnetic tape backup is not available to the TB mass data. H model disastertolerant high availability cluster based-on NAS, which is designed and Realized in this paper, can put the axe in the helve. After the basic concept, feature and present status of NAS technology are comprehensively discussed, a novel H model disastertolerant high availability cluster based-on NAS is designed and implemented, some key technologies are discussed. Preliminary tests and measurements made by us show that availability of the solution is higher, and the system is stable.
