A Method of Image Retrieval Based on Connected Regions Color and Texture Features

摘要：

An image retrieval method based on connected regions is proposed in this paper. The connected regions are divided based on the main color of images and norms 8-connected. Color features and texture features are extracted in the connected region that can reflect some shape information. And dynamic region matching is used on similarity mesure. It overcomes the shortcomings of other methods based on one or two underlying visual features of images. And the amount of calculation of this method is less than the method based on the combination of color, texture, shape features. The experiment results show that the method can achieve a good effect in image retrieval.
