Online-backup system for Cloud Computing Storage

Cloud Computing use distributed storage to manage data, such as Google File System(GFS). Mass data is distributed in numbers of storage devices, at the same time, data redundancy is also needed to guarantee the reliability of the cloud computing system. For the data distributed in different volume is related, when do data backup or redundancy, it is problem to ensure the consistency and integrity of data. Recent several years, with the cost of storage area network (SAN) is remarkably reduced, for the better ability of mass data processing, SAN is widely used as storage component in Cloud Computing system. In this paper, base on the SAN, we present a concept what is called Mirror Synchronous Group(SMG), which can satisfy the multi-volume backup with high perfermance. Furthermore, using SMG, we also design an online data backup strategy for cloud computing system.
