SERVICE ORIENTED SEMANTIC DATA INTEGRATION FOR MATERIAL DOMAIN CLOUD

Today, materials community scientists are looking for new research environments that support advanced data acquisition, data storage, data management, data integration, data mining, data visualization and other computing and information processing services other the Internet. Cloud computing appears as a good opportunity for understanding and solving such a real-life challenge. Indeed, cloud computing render users with services to access hardware, software, and data resource. The ability to control the resources and the pay-as-you go usage model enables new approaches to application development and resource provisioning. In this work, we first proposed a generic material cloud architecture and then a data integration framework as material cloud service enabling efficient analysis, querying, and reasoning about material data properties. This framework is aiming to deliver a more standardized approach to the integration of material science data, through a set of open source interoperable standards, tools and datasets that can be re-used. We present an implementation based on material creep data properties analysis.
