An Energy Consumption Balance Tactics in Wireless Mesh Sensor Network Based on Topology Controlling
Based on principles of Wireless Mesh Networks (WMN), the Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) sub-cluster structure is reconstructed by seamlessly combining WSN with WMN to deploy Wireless Mesh Sensor Networks (WMSN). Nearby Weights Heuristic Algorithm and the clustering principle of LEACH protocol are used to control the topology of WMSN, then a topology controlling protocol named Energy-Balanced Cluster Selection (EBCS) is designed to balance the mesh router controlling area, so as to balance the energy consumption, thus make the nodes dead time be approximately equal. At the same time experimental result indicates that EBCS can balance the energy consumption in the network and prolong the living time of network.
