Spectrum Sensing Auction in Cognitive Radios Network

Recently, extensive research has shown the benefits of cognitive radio technologies which improve the efficiency and flexibility of spectrum utilization. In other words, cognitive radio is a candidate technology for more efficient spectrum utilization systems based on the opportunistic spectrum sensing. Cognitive radio technology does not rely upon traditional license-based spectrum allocation policies, if the spectrum usage decision is based on unreliable spectral estimation it could interrupt the existing systems. This new technology, however, needs a spectrum allocation mechanism which is welldesigned. In this paper, we propose an auction framework for cognitive radio networks to improve the efficiency of the spectrum usage. Finally, through a lot of experiments, we demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed auction framework in achieving high efficiency in spectrum allocation.
