The Role of Knowledge and Trust for the Accelerated Internationalization in the Born Global Firm: A Case Study for a Manufacturing Firm in China
For entering global markets successfully, Born Global firms (BGs) typically need partners who include the core team members, global R&D partnerships and foreign customers. We address shortcomings of traditional global business to do a case study in our model of knowledge management and trust relationship, in suggesting that there may be key factors involved in the development of knowledge absorptive, transfer capacity and accumulated knowledge that lead to trust building between in the inter and outside firm, which form the new knowledge for its rapidly internationalizing. Consequently, we analysis the case and argue that for manufacturing BGs, the role of knowledge management and trust building are closely intertwined, which may extend the scope of international entrepreneurship research of accelerated globalization, particularly for the advantage of late-development country.
