Evaluation and Modeling of Online Course Using Fuzzy AHP

Previous studies have identified various influence factors of online course, web-based system and online learning environments. But they consider little about course content and instructional design. Furthermore, these studies are likely to determine evaluation criteria empirically. This paper gives a literature review of online course quality evaluation and classifies four dimensions (including course content, instructional design, and service design and system support) and 13 sub-criteria to measure online course effectiveness. Then, it gives the process of how to solve such multiple-attribute decision-making problems using fuzzy analytic hierarchy process and builds a fuzzy evaluation model which prioritized the relative weights of online course quality factors.
