EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON COMPLETE STRESS-STRAIN CURVE OF EXPANDED POLYSTYRENE LIGHTWEIGHT CONCRETE UNDER UNIAXIAL LOADING
The paper investigated the characteristic of complete stress-strain curve of expanded polystyrene lightweight concrete (PLC) prism under uniaxial loading as well as the relationship between EPS content and elastic modulus, peak strain, peak stress and compress strength. The result illustrate that complete stress - strain curve of PLC is similar to ordinary concrete, however, the feature points on the curve are significantly different from ordinary concrete. As EPS dosage increase, elastic modulus, ultimate strain, ultimate stress and compress strength of PLC all decrease significantly. The ascending and descending period of PLC complete stress-strain curve were fitted with different formulas respectively. Furthermore, the experimental data is in good correlation with the fitting curve.
