STUDY ON INFLUENCE OF STRESS WAVE EFFECT FOR IMPACT BIFURCATION BUCKLING OF AXIAL COMPRESSION BARS WITH DIFFERENT BOUNDARY CONDITIONS

At early stage,study on impact bifurcation buckling of axial compression bars is mainly based on Amplifying Function Method,which shields the nature of buckling to some degree. So there is some research on influence of stress wave effect emerging. Nowadays,related research has been based mainly on the assumption of fixed at no-impact end or stress wave-front. Unfortunately,this method could not take the inter-supporting between different stressing parts of bar and boundary condition at far end into account for impact buckling problem. The impact bifurcation buckling of axial compression bars with different boundary conditions under step load are analyzed. Continuous of wave-front is used to solve the problem more properly instead of fixed. The regularity of stress wave effect for impact bifurcation buckling of axial compression bars with different boundary conditions are obtained,and some valuable conclusions are drawn.
