STUDY ON FRAME STRUCTURE VIBRATION CONTROL MECHANISM OF INFILL WALLS AS TMD

To take fall advantage of infill walls in frame structure and to reduce earthquake response of frame structure,based on basic principles of structure random vibration and tuned mass dampers and combining the position and characteristics of infill wall in the frame structure,an infill walls TMD system is put forward by changing the connection between frame and infill walls. An initial mathematical model of infill walls TMD damping system is established and the influencing factors are analyzed. By analyzing,results showed that infill walls as TMD in frame structure can reduce the vibration response of frame,and frame infill walls TMD system and the general high-rise building TMD system have significantly different in many parameters and influencing factors. The part infill walls of the frame structure are converted into tuned mass dampers and can effectively control the vibration response.
