SUBSTRCTURE METHOD CONSIDERING PANEL ZONE DEFORMATION IN STEEL FRAME ADVANCED ANALYSIS

To simulate the mechanical performance of panel zone,consider the effect of local buckling and shearing deformation of panel zone on steel frames in advanced analysis,the concept of relative degrees-offreedom is introduced into the iso-parametric element,and the interpolation expressions of 16 nodes shell element with relative degrees-of -freedom are obtained. Based on the updated Lagrange configuration,the element stiffness matrix is derived according to the increment virtual displacement principle. After the formation of substructures stiffness matrix the degrees-of-freedom of internal nodes are condensed,the panel zone is formed to space element with 6 nodes at most to participate in the integral analysis. Numerical examples are presented to illustrate the validity and the universality of the proposed approach and the results show the new method is accurate and suitable for nonlinear analysis of panel zones of steel frameworks.
