STUDY ON FLEXURAL PERFORMANCES OF THE CONCRETE FILLED CIRCULAR CFRP-STEEL TUBES (C-CFRP-CFST)

The moment-curvature curves and deformed modes of the concrete filled circular CFRP-steel tubular flexural members were simulated by using finite element method,and the numerical results agree well with the experimental results. The analysis shows that the moment-curvature curves of the specimens can be classified into elastic,elasto-plastic and softening stages. Mutual interaction forces between the steel tube and the concrete exist in the whole loading process. The index and computational equation of flexural bearing capacity for the concrete filled circular CFRP-steel tubular flexural members are presented. The proposed equations can be used to calculate the flexural bearing capacity reasonably.
