STUDY ON CRACKING MECHANISM AND ANTI-CRACKING CAPACITY OF STEEL REINFORCED CONCRETE FRAME JOINTS
Based on cyclic loading tests carried out on five half-scale interior joints, cracking capacity of steel reinforced high strength concrete frame joints under earthquake was studied. The anti-crack mechanism was analyzed based on experiment. Horizontal resisting elements were determined, and contribution of each part was analyzed quantitatively. A practical calculating formula of crack resistance of such joints was derived,in which the influence of concrete strength and axial column load are included. The result indicates that failure process of Steel reinforced high strength concrete frame joints is similar to ordinary steel reinforced concrete frame joints, and this kind of joint possesses good ductility and energy dissipation ability, the presented anti-cracking calculating formula tallies with experiment results well.
