THE STRUCTURAL SIMULATION FOR MASONRY ARCH BRIDGE BASED ON OPENSEES
In this study,the integrated system for Structural Simulation for Entire Bridge,named Abtas,which can construct the masonry arch bridge model conveniently,has been developed. The existing nonlinear analysis program OpenSees was used as a finite element solver in the integrated system. The developed integrated system includes a pre-processor with intuitive graphic user interfaces and a postprocessor that can display the results. Using this developed integrated system,this paper takes Di Xi Tuo Jiang Bridge which collapsed on August 13th ,2008 in FengHuang county,HuNan province as an example to make a demonstration from modelling to Entire Bridge Simulation. A 3D solid model was constructed and the possible accident condition was simulated after investigating the reports submitted by related departments. The analysis results provide useful suggestions for preventing the similar masonry arch bridge collapse accidents,and it can be widely used in the masonry arch bridge FE analysis.
