FE MODEL UPDATING OF BRIDGE BASED ON HIGH ORDER RESPONSE SURFACE METHOD
In this paper,based on high order response surface method,the FE model updating of bridge structures were considered and conducted. The following works were included: (1) The basic concepts,calculation method and steps of finite element model updating using response surface method were systematically introduced. (2) The ambient vibration testing on a three-span continuous girder model bridge were conducted,and the modal parameters,such as the frequencies,damping ratios,and modal shapes were extracted from the testing.(3) The three order response surface model of the three-span continuous girder model bridge were proposed,and the model updating was conducted.(4) Based on the three order response surface model,the initial FE model of the model bridge with three-spans were updated and the results from the updated model were compared with those from the testing. It can be concluded that the updated FE model has high precision and more practical,and the updated model can be used as the reference for the further model validation process,health monitoring and safety valuation.
