THE MECHANICAL PROPERTIES AND DESIGN OF CURVED CONTINUOUS BOX-GIRDER BRIDGE
Taking an actual curved continuous box-girder bridge on which problems occurred in Henan Province of China as an example,the features of loading and deformation of this ramp bridge were computed and studied in this paper by the use of finite element method. The conclusions have been reached that temperature effect and reasonable support design are the two key elements for the design of curved continuous boxgirder bridge,and suggestions on the design of such curved continuous box-girder bridges have been presented in this paper in order to avoid such engineering problems.
