WIND INDUCED VIBRATION OF LITONG SQUARE : COMPARISON OF PRESSURE MEASUREMENTS AND HIGH FREQUENCY FORCE BALANCE
Both the simultaneous pressure measurement and the HFFB test of a tall building were conducted in a boundary wind tunnel. Comparision of the wind-induced vibration obtained from the above two ways show that: (1) the results have good agreement with each other in the variation tendancy according to diffident wind directions. (2) the relative errors between results obtained from the above two experiments may reach 20% in case of some special wind direction,but in most of wind directions,the results can agree well with each other. It is suggested that both the simultaneous pressure measurements and HFFB tests be conducted for a good estimation of wind effects of a tall building.
